# Plans & subscription

View, change, or cancel your LimePhone plan from Settings → Billing.

Your subscription is managed in **Settings → Billing**. Only account owners and admins can make billing changes. The plan page shows your current plan and status at the top — including a **Cancellation Scheduled** badge if you've cancelled but the period hasn't ended yet.

## View or change your plan

1. Go to **Settings → Billing**.
2. Review your current plan and the available plans.
3. Use the **Monthly / Annual** toggle to pick a billing cycle — **annual is selected by default** and each plan card shows the per-month equivalent when billed annually.
4. Pick the plan you want and confirm. Before confirming you'll see the **new monthly total**.

**Upgrades take effect right away.** Annual billing is cheaper per month, and some features (such as 10DLC registration eligibility) may require an annual plan.

## Downgrade your plan

Downgrading works the same way — choose the lower plan. Before you confirm, a **warning lists what you'd lose** on the lower plan. Check that your usage fits the new plan's limits (numbers, members, features) before confirming.

## Cancel your subscription

1. Go to **Settings → Billing** and scroll to the bottom of the plan page.
2. Choose **Cancel subscription** and complete the cancellation dialog.
3. You'll receive an email confirming the cancellation.

Cancellation takes effect at the **end of your current billing period** — your subscription stays fully active until then. While a cancellation is scheduled, a card appears on the plan page with a **Keep Subscription** button that undoes it in one click.

If you're on a free trial, the button reads **End free trial** instead — ending the trial cancels it in Stripe, so you're never charged when the trial would have converted.

## Reactivate a cancelled account

Once the period ends and the account is cancelled, choosing a plan again reactivates it — but you need a **payment method on file first**; the dashboard will prompt you to add one before reactivating.

A word of caution: releasing your numbers means losing them. If you might come back, consider downgrading instead of cancelling so you keep your number.

## FAQ

**If I upgrade mid-cycle, when am I charged?** Upgrades apply immediately and billing is adjusted through Stripe from that point; your next invoice reflects the new plan.

**I cancelled by mistake — how do I undo it?** As long as the billing period hasn't ended, open **Settings → Billing** and click **Keep Subscription** on the "set to cancel" card. Nothing is lost.

**Does cancelling stop charges immediately?** No new renewal is charged, but the current period runs to its end and you keep access until then. Ending a *trial* does stop the future charge entirely — you were never billed.

**Do I keep my phone numbers if my subscription lapses?** Not indefinitely. Numbers on a cancelled account are eventually released and may not be recoverable. Downgrade rather than cancel if keeping the number matters.
