# Outgoing calls

Make calls from your LimePhone numbers in the browser, and control the caller ID people see.

## Calling from the dashboard

The web dialer is the floating phone button in the bottom-right corner of [dashboard.limephone.io](https://dashboard.limephone.io) — it's available on every page. Open it, dial a number (or start a call from a contact or a call-log entry), and talk through your browser's microphone and speakers.

For the best experience, allow microphone access when the browser asks, and use a headset — see [Call quality](https://docs.limephone.io/troubleshooting/call-quality) for network and audio tips.

## Choosing your caller ID

In **Settings → Your account → Call Settings**:

* **Default Caller ID** — pick which of your LimePhone numbers outgoing calls show by default.
* **Caller ID on forwarded calls** — when a call is forwarded to your own phone, choose whether you see the original caller's number or your LimePhone number.

## What can I call?

Where you can call depends on your plan and country permissions, and trial workspaces have a limited outbound-call allowance — see [Trials](https://docs.limephone.io/billing-and-account/trials) and [Plans and subscription](https://docs.limephone.io/billing-and-account/plans-and-subscription). Every outgoing call is logged with its recording and details in [Call Logs](/calls-and-messages/call-logs-and-activity.md).
