SMS campaigns (bulk SMS)

Send one message to many contacts at once — as a one-time blast or a drip sequence — and track the results.

Before you send: two prerequisites

  1. Register for US texting (10DLC). US carriers require 10DLC registration before business SMS is delivered reliably — unregistered US traffic is filtered. Register your brand and campaign in Settings → Trust center. Some other countries have their own regulatory requirements; the Trust center's Brands, Campaigns, Addresses and Bundles tabs cover them.

  2. Have enough credits. Campaign messages are paid from your message credits. Check and top up your balance in Settings → Billing. Only workspace admins can add credits.

Creating a campaign

Campaigns live at dashboard.limephone.io/campaigns — there's no sidebar entry yet, so open that URL directly. Everything happens on a single form:

  1. Choose the campaign type — a One-time blast or a Drip sequence.

  2. Choose the audience — All contacts, By status (new, contacted, qualified, customer, or lost), or a Contact list you've saved. See Lists, tags & custom fields for building lists.

  3. Pick the Send from number.

  4. Write the message. The composer shows a live character and segment count and the estimated cost. You can personalize with the {{first_name}} and {{company}} tokens.

  5. Send. Blasts go out immediately — the button reads Send to N now, where N is the number of reachable recipients.

Built-in guardrails

  • A STOP opt-out line is appended to your message automatically.

  • Unsubscribed contacts are skipped.

  • Invalid numbers are excluded — the form shows how many recipients are actually reachable before you send.

Tracking the results

The campaigns page lists past campaigns with:

The campaign's current state

High failure rates on US traffic usually mean 10DLC registration is missing or incomplete — check Settings → Trust center.
