Make your first call

Here's how to place your first outbound call — from the web dialer, from a contact or call log, or on a mobile browser.

Before you begin

  • Make sure your account is active and has calling credit (see Settings → Billing).

  • Use Chrome or Edge and allow microphone access when prompted.

  • Have the number you want to call ready, including the country code for international calls.

Call from the web dialer

  1. Sign in at dashboard.limephone.io and click the round floating phone button at the bottom-right of any dashboard page — it expands into the dialer panel.

  2. Enter the number you wish to call on the keypad.

  3. Choose the virtual number to call from with the From-number selector — for example, use your US number when calling the US.

  4. Press the call button.

While connected, the call screen shows the call duration. In-call controls:

  • Mute

  • Keypad

  • Recording toggle

  • Transfer to a teammate

The dialer panel also keeps a recent-calls list for quick redialing. Press the end-call button when you're done. The call is logged in Call Logs.

Call a contact or a past caller

  • Open Contacts, select the person, and use the call action — the dialer opens with their number pre-filled.

  • Open Call Logs, find the call, and use the call action to ring them back.

Pick the virtual number to call from and press call.

From a mobile browser

Open dashboard.limephone.io in Chrome or Edge on your phone or tablet — you're automatically redirected to the mobile web app, which opens on its Dialer tab (with Inbox, Logs, and Contacts tabs alongside). Enter the number and call the same way.

Tips

  • A stable internet connection matters most for call quality — see the Troubleshooting section if calls sound choppy.

  • If you record calls, check whether your jurisdiction requires the other party's consent.

Next: receive your first call.
