# Set up your workspace

Follow this guide to get your LimePhone workspace configured end to end — from first sign-in to a number that rings where you want it.

## Sign in and follow the Setup wizard

1. Sign in at [dashboard.limephone.io](https://dashboard.limephone.io) using Chrome or Edge.
2. Open **Setup** in the left sidebar. The "Set up your line" wizard walks you through: confirming your number is active (copy or share it), choosing where calls ring (**Ring in browser** or **Forward to my mobile** — trial forwarding is limited to US/UK/CA numbers), taking a test call from the AI, calling your number yourself and watching the live AI summary, and setting your business hours. Then you're done.

There's also a **Getting started** page at the bottom of the sidebar with a few more first-day tasks: inviting teammates, recording a voicemail greeting, completing your profile, and making your first call.

## The six things to configure

Work through these in order; skip any that don't apply to you.

### 1. Call forwarding

Decide where incoming calls should ring: your browser (web dialer) or forwarded to your mobile or landline.

* Your personal routing lives in **Settings → Call Settings**.
* Per-number routing lives in **Settings → Phone numbers** — select the number and set where its calls go.

You may be asked to verify the phone number you forward to before outgoing calls and forwarding work.

### 2. Invite teammates (optional)

Part of a team? Open **Settings → Members** to invite others to your workspace and share your numbers. (This also appears on the **Getting started** page.)

### 3. Set your notifications

Open **Settings → Notifications** and choose how you want to be alerted — email, SMS, web, or in-app — for missed calls, voicemails, and new texts.

### 4. Set your availability

Open **Settings → Availability** to set your personal working hours, so you only receive calls when you want to.

### 5. Set business hours

Open **Settings → Business hours** to define when your company is open. Outside those hours, callers hear a voice prompt and can be diverted to voicemail (or answered by your AI Receptionist).

### 6. Configure your virtual number

Open **Settings → Phone numbers** and select your number to review its call routing, voicemail, and recording options. You can also reach a number's settings from the sidebar **Inboxes** list — click the three-dots menu next to the number and choose **Manage settings**. If call recording is on, check whether your jurisdiction requires caller consent.

If a number order needs identity or business documents, a temporary **Verification** entry appears in the sidebar until they're submitted.

## Trial accounts

A few notes if you're on a free trial:

* Trial accounts are typically assigned a **US local number**; other countries require a paid plan.
* Trials run **7 days** and include **60 inbound minutes**, **15 local outbound minutes**, **15 AI minutes**, and **inbound SMS only** — no international outbound calling.
* Forwarding destinations are limited to **US/UK/CA** during the trial.

If anything seems restricted, contact <support@limephone.io>.
