File size limits and picture quality for picture messaging (MMS)

When sending outbound picture messages (MMS), videos, or other files through LimePhone, it's important to be aware of the message size limitations and follow best practices. Here's what you need to know:

  1. MMS Message Size Limitations: While messages on LimePhone can be up to 5MB in total, the accepted size limit may vary depending on the receiving carrier. If your message exceeds 5MB, it will automatically fail.

For toll-free numbers, the standard limit is 0.6MB (or 600KB) per message. If the recipient's carrier is not listed above, it's recommended to send MMS attachments no larger than 0.6MB (or 600KB).

  1. Picture Quality: LimePhone automatically resizes images that are under 5MB but exceed the limits set by the receiving carrier. To ensure the best picture quality, if you're unsure about the recipient's carrier, it's recommended to send a message with a file size no larger than 600KB.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, you can submit a request to LimePhone's support team, and they will be happy to help you.
