Zapier

Generate LimePhone credentials for Zapier so you can wire your calls, messages, and contacts into thousands of other apps.

What it does

Zapier connects LimePhone to the rest of your stack without code: log completed calls to a spreadsheet, create a helpdesk ticket from a voicemail, add new contacts to your email tool, and so on. The LimePhone side of the setup is simple — you generate a dedicated API key and webhook URL in the dashboard, then paste them into your Zapier connection.

Prerequisites

  • A Zapier account (a free plan is enough to start).

  • A LimePhone role that can open Settings → Integrations.

Connect Zapier

  1. Sign in at dashboard.limephone.io and open Settings → Integrations.

  2. Click the Zapier card, then click Generate API Key.

  3. LimePhone shows your Zapier credentials: an API Key and a Webhook URL. Copy both using the copy buttons. The API key is shown only once — store it somewhere safe before leaving the page.

  4. In Zapier, use these credentials when setting up your LimePhone connection.

  5. Back in LimePhone, under Phone Numbers, choose All numbers or Specific numbers to control which numbers' activity is included.

  6. Under Events to Sync, tick the event types you want available to your Zaps — incoming/outgoing messages, completed/missed calls, voicemails, and contact changes.

  7. Click Save Settings.

What data flows

The events you enable — call, message, voicemail, and contact activity from the selected numbers — become available to your Zapier workflows. Data content depends on the event: message events carry the message text and numbers involved; call events carry the numbers and duration. The Activity section of the detail view shows sync counts, errors, and the last sync time.

Treat the API key like a password: anyone holding it can access your LimePhone data through the integration.

Disconnect

Open Settings → Integrations → Zapier and click Disconnect. The integration stops and the credentials are revoked — Zaps using the old key will stop working. To rotate a leaked key, disconnect and then click Generate API Key again for a fresh one (update your Zapier connection with the new key).

Troubleshooting

Lost the API key. It's only displayed once. Click Generate API Key again to issue a new key — this replaces the old one, so update Zapier with the new value.

Zaps aren't triggering. Confirm the event type is ticked under Events to Sync, the relevant number is included under Phone Numbers, and you clicked Save Settings. Then check the Activity section for errors. If the key was regenerated at any point, reconnect Zapier with the current key.
