Members & roles

Invite teammates to your workspace, give them the right role, and share numbers so they can answer and make calls.

If other people need to answer or make calls from your virtual numbers, add them as members of your workspace. You can organize members into teams — for sales, support, finance, or whatever fits your business — and route calls to those teams.

Invite a teammate

  1. Go to Settings → Members.

  2. Choose to invite a new member.

  3. Enter their details, pick a role, and send the invite.

The new member receives an email with their sign-in details for dashboard.limephone.io, and appears in your members list once added. You can cancel a pending invitation from the same list.

Inviting members requires a Starter plan or higher — trial accounts can't invite teammates.

Roles

Each member has a role that controls what they can do:

Role
What it's for

Admin

Full access, including billing, members, and workspace settings.

Member

Day-to-day use: calls, messages, contacts, and the numbers shared with them.

Viewer

Read-only access — can see activity but not act on it.

Only account owners and admins can manage billing and payment methods. You can change a member's role, or remove a member, at any time from Settings → Members.

Teams

Group members into teams from the Teams tab inside Settings → Members. Teams are useful for routing: you can forward calls from a number to a whole team so the first available person picks up. See the call forwarding guide for how to route calls to a team.

Sharing numbers with members

Members can only use the numbers you share with them. Open Settings → Phone numbers, select the number, and assign the members or teams who should be able to answer and place calls from it.
